Remember to use the “F”- word when selling

It happens all the time. You’re watching a program on TV or attending a live event and it happens so quickly, we can’t believe our ears! The dreaded inappropriate F-word just slipped out of the speaker’s mouth and caught everyone off guard. At that moment, the only thought going through your head is, “I’m glad it wasn’t me!”

The funny thing is, when I try to teach my three boys how to use the appropriate F-word I get a perplexed stare from them too. I don’t know what you’re thinking, but there are many words that begin with the letter F that we need to use more often.

Everything I need to know about Sales, I learned in Scouting

Recently, I returned from an Advanced Leadership Development program, as an assistant course director, that had taken place over a long weekend. I have been an instructor and trainer for the Boy Scouts for a while and this program was the absolutely most demanding program I have ever participated in.  I have worked with numerous, adults, teenagers, and children of all ages over the years that I have been involved with scouting.

This particular course was definitely the memorable experience that I have had in a long time.  More importantly, I left that course with an insight that helped me understand how successful sales professionals are made. Let me tell you what I found.
